Shopping Assistants | Remote
Pay: $25 to $40 per hour • Part-Time Contract • Flexible Hours
Mercor is looking for experienced stylists and professional shoppers with backgrounds in celebrity styling, editorial work, retail, or e-commerce. You will partner with a leading AI research lab to design and evaluate advanced AI shopping assistants. This includes creating realistic shopper profiles, crafting high-quality prompts, and building detailed evaluation rubrics for product recommendation tasks.
Create detailed shopper personas to simulate real-world purchasing behavior.
Develop and refine prompts to test AI shopping recommendations.
Build evaluation frameworks to measure recommendation quality and relevance.
Provide brand and product expertise to improve AI shopping accuracy.
3+ years of professional experience in one or more of the following: celebrity or editorial styling, retail buying or merchandising, e-commerce category management, or other consumer shopping-related roles.
Strong trend-spotting skills and ability to benchmark brands effectively.
Experience creating retail tools such as inventory scorecards, product libraries, or campaign ROI reports.
Excellent written English and high attention to detail.
Start Date: August 10
Duration: 5 weeks
Commitment: Approximately 20 hours per week
Schedule: Fully remote, asynchronous work with flexible hours.
$35 to $50 per hour USD, based on experience.
Independent contractor status.
Weekly payments via Stripe Connect.
