Mercor is seeking domain experts in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science to evaluate AI-driven simulated research environments. In this role, you will assess agent trajectories and outputs to help improve the quality and reliability of AI research tools.

What You'll Do

• Review and evaluate AI agent outputs within simulated research environments
• Assess agent performance across multiple dimensions, including scientific accuracy, methodology, and research rigor
• Provide structured, expert feedback to guide model improvement
• Identify errors, inconsistencies, or gaps in agent-generated research content

Who We're Looking For

• Professionals with a strong background in Mechanical Engineering and/or Materials Science
• Experience in academic or applied research settings
• Strong analytical skills with an eye for scientific detail and methodological soundness
• Ability to deliver clear, well-reasoned evaluations independently
