Sleep Medicine Specialist (AI Data) | Contractor | Worldwide Remote

Turing is looking for experienced Sleep Specialists or Behavioral Sleep Medicine Professionals to evaluate and annotate AI-generated content related to sleep health. This is an 8-week freelance engagement supporting the development of responsible, evidence-based AI systems at the frontier of health technology.

What You'll Do

  • Annotate sleep stages, duration, onset/wake times, and disturbances from sensor data, logs, or sleep diaries.
  • Classify sleep quality indicators and identify patterns consistent with common sleep issues such as insomnia or irregular schedules.
  • Cross-check self-reported sleep data against objective device or sensor data for consistency.
  • Flag anomalies, missing data, or device/measurement errors.
  • Apply and help refine standardized sleep annotation guidelines.
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency across large datasets.

Requirements

  • Background in sleep science, physiology, psychology, or a related health field.
  • Familiarity with sleep tracking technologies (actigraphy, PSG basics, consumer wearables).
  • Strong attention to detail and pattern recognition skills.
  • Comfort working with time-series data and annotation platforms.
  • MacBook preferred for optimal platform compatibility.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with sleep study data or clinical sleep assessments.
  • Prior data annotation experience in health-related domains.
  • Familiarity with common sleep scoring standards such as AASM criteria.
