We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Postsecondary Sociology Teacher to join our team as a contractor. This role sits within the humanities domain and is ideal for a generalist educator with a strong foundation in social sciences and pedagogy. You will contribute to curriculum development, task design, and learner feedback in a fully remote capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design clear, measurable task prompts aligned with learning objectives
- Develop and apply evaluation rubrics to assess learner performance
- Review and provide constructive, detailed feedback on submitted work
- Synthesize relevant literature and research to support course content
- Apply foundational pedagogical frameworks, including Bloom's Taxonomy, to guide instructional design
Required Skills
- Proficiency in designing evaluation rubrics
- Ability to write clear and measurable task prompts
- Basic to intermediate pedagogical knowledge (Bloom's Taxonomy and related frameworks)
- Experience reviewing work and delivering actionable feedback
- Strong ability to synthesize academic literature and research on sociological topics
Compensation: $50–90/hr, depending on experience and scope of work.
