- Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and resolve software issues from large open-source codebases
- Write, test, and validate code solutions for bugs and inefficiencies
- Implement and refine APIs, database structures, and backend components for AI workflows
- Configure local development environments to replicate and investigate complex issues
- Qualifications:
- 1+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Proven contributions to major open-source repositories (e.g., astropy, django, matplotlib, pytest, scikit-learn, sphinx, sympy)
- Advanced Python skills, API development, and structured testing
- Excellent analytical and communication abilities
- Residency in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand
