Software Engineer, Clinical Data (TypeScript/FHIR) | $75–87/hr | On-Site: Seattle, WA or Madison, WI
Join a leading digital health technology company's engineering team to design and build the backend integration services that move clinical data between electronic health record (EHR) systems. This is a full-time, on-site W-2 position employed through Cincinnatus LLC, with placement directly within a top-tier healthcare technology company.
Key Responsibilities
- Build robust TypeScript/Node.js services for EHR integrations.
- Architect integration services using HL7 v2, FHIR, and EHR APIs.
- Deploy microservices on AWS with containerization; implement data validation, monitoring, and HIPAA-compliant security.
- Participate in code reviews and system-design discussions.
- Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development and collaborate with product managers on clinical workflow solutions.
Core Qualifications
- 3+ years of production experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Prior experience at a healthcare startup or health-data integration platform, with knowledge of FHIR, HL7, patient identity management, or clinical data modeling.
- Strong computer science fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, OOP, concurrency, and distributed systems.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful or event-driven APIs.
- Microservices or cloud-native scaling experience (AWS, Kubernetes).
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident located in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing OAuth2.0 / SMART on FHIR authentication flows.
