Software Engineer (Python & Docker) | $300/task | 4-Week Contract | Worldwide Remote

Turing, one of the world's leading AGI infrastructure companies, is urgently hiring skilled Software Engineers for a 4-week contract supporting a frontier AI data initiative. This is a pay-per-task engagement with an ASAP start — applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so apply early.

Engagement Details

• Type: Contractor, pay per task
• Rate: $300 per approved task
• Commitment: Minimum 1 completed and approved task per day
• Task cap: None — complete as many tasks as the pipeline allows
• Duration: 4 weeks, starting immediately

About the Role

You will be embedded in a team building infrastructure and training data used to develop and evaluate AI agents. Upon joining, you'll be assigned to one of two tracks:

Connectors Track

• Build Python backend applications that replicate existing SaaS tools (Slack, Linear, Jira, Notion, Gmail, wikis)
• Test and validate connectors to ensure each behaves faithfully like the system it emulates
• Extend existing connectors and build new ones within agreed timeframes

Task Track

• Mine data and workflows to identify candidates for long-horizon task development
• Author realistic tasks and verify their quality, realism, and correctness through structured QA
• Write evaluation rubrics defining correct, partially correct, and deficient work

Responsibilities

• Use AI coding agents throughout development, QA, and validation workflows
• Participate in onboarding, calibration, and quality reviews
• Deliver consistently to the agreed quality bar on all milestones

Requirements

• 3+ years of backend development experience with strong Python skills (FastAPI, Flask, or Django)
• Proficiency with Git, Docker, and pipeline fundamentals; solid testing and code-quality practices
• Experience building scalable backends, REST APIs, and microservices
• Daily use of AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools

This is a high-velocity, short-term engagement ideal for experienced engineers who work efficiently and thrive in fast-paced, AI-driven environments.
