Software Engineer | Swift
Pay: $20 to $85 per hour • Remote Contract • Flexible Hours
Mercor is seeking experienced Swift developers with strong software engineering backgrounds and proven open-source contributions to join a high-impact AI research initiative in collaboration with a leading AI lab. This role focuses on creating and reviewing comprehensive unit test suites for complex, production-grade Swift codebases to help advance large-scale language models with robust software infrastructure.
Design, write, and review high-quality unit tests for advanced Swift codebases.
Collaborate with AI researchers from world-class labs.
Work asynchronously with the flexibility to set your own schedule.
Commit 15 to 40 hours per week depending on availability and performance.
At least 2 years of professional or open-source experience writing production-level Swift code.
Skilled in writing and maintaining unit tests in Swift using XCTest or similar frameworks.
Significant contributions to complex open-source projects.
Comfortable working in Dockerized environments and using containerization tools.
Bonus: Experience with Python, Go, Java, or TypeScript.
Independent contractor arrangement on an at-will basis.
Weekly payments via Stripe Connect based on hours worked.
Competitive hourly rate adjusted for experience and location.
Work directly with leading AI research labs on cutting-edge projects.
Contribute to impactful open-source initiatives.
Build long-term relationships for ongoing AI-focused projects based on strong performance.
