Join AFTERQUERY for a short-term, project-based contract role designed for software engineers with 1–3 years of professional experience. Over the next 2–3 weeks, you'll tackle real-world engineering challenges across a variety of stacks and applications — all on a flexible, asynchronous schedule.

Role Overview

• Fully remote and asynchronous — work on your own schedule
• Project-based assignments across software development, debugging, code review, and technical implementation
• Expected commitment of 10–20 hours per week for accepted projects
• Duration: approximately 2–3 weeks

What You'll Do

• Independently scope, implement, and deliver software features or bug fixes
• Perform code reviews and contribute to technical implementation across diverse applications
• Apply strong engineering fundamentals to solve practical, real-world problems

Required Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional software engineering experience in a full-time or equivalent role
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language and its ecosystem
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles
• Demonstrated ability to deliver features or fixes independently
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
