Software Engineering Expert | $50–$150/hr | Worldwide Remote

Mercor is seeking experienced software engineers to contribute to AI training and evaluation projects on a flexible, hourly basis. This role involves working with cutting-edge AI systems, reviewing and writing production-grade code, and helping shape the quality of AI-generated technical solutions across a variety of programming languages and problem domains.

What You'll Do

• Write and evaluate code across multiple programming languages and problem types
• Review and assess AI-generated solutions for accuracy, quality, and correctness
• Annotate and complete technical tasks to support model training and improvement
• Provide expert-level feedback on model outputs in a software engineering context

Who We're Looking For

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Proficiency in one or more of: Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, Go, C#, or C++
• Strong ability to read, write, and reason about production-grade code
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently with strong attention to detail
