Software Expert | $0–65/hr | Remote Worldwide | Mac Required

Mercor is seeking experienced software professionals to support a high-priority AI data collection initiative. You'll create screen recordings and annotations demonstrating expert workflows in professional software tools, helping improve how AI systems understand complex interfaces and multi-step processes.

What You'll Do

• Record screen sessions with clear verbal narration explaining each step of your workflow
• Annotate screenshots by drawing precise bounding boxes around UI elements
• Follow staging instructions to set up specific software states before recording
• Use custom capture tools to ensure consistent, high-quality data collection
• Adhere to detailed guidelines to maintain data quality and usability

Required Qualifications

• Strong expertise with professional software including: Blender, Godot, GIMP, R, and Wings 3D
• Fluent English language skills (written and verbal)
• Access to a physical Mac computer
• Detail-oriented with ability to follow precise instructions
• Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines
• Ability to create a fresh macOS user profile if required

Nice-to-Have

• Prior experience with data collection, annotation, or QA work
• Experience recording or documenting technical workflows
• Adaptability with new tools and staged environments
