Sports & Fantasy AI Domain Expert | Contractor | 40 hrs/week | Worldwide Remote

Turing, one of the world's fastest-growing AI companies, is seeking a seasoned Sports & Fantasy Sports Subject Matter Expert to help fine-tune and evaluate large language models for sports analytics and fantasy sports applications. This is a short-term contractor engagement (up to 10 weeks) requiring 40 hours per week with 8 hours of overlap with PST.

About Turing

Turing partners with the world's leading AI labs to advance frontier model capabilities—spanning reasoning, coding, agentic behavior, and domain-specific knowledge—and builds real-world AI systems that solve mission-critical challenges for enterprises.

Role Overview

As a domain expert, you will set the quality bar for sports and fantasy AI applications. You'll ground advanced AI models in real-world fantasy sports logic—covering scoring systems, draft frameworks, roster rules, and playoff projections—and ensure AI-generated outputs meet professional industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Authoring Skills & Parameters: Define discovery parameters (sport, league size, scoring format, roster settings) and guardrails (positional limits, PPR vs. standard, tier-based value) for AI builders.
  • Context & Interview Co-Design: Co-design interview workflows and validate context files including player projections, roster exports, and custom scoring rule sets.
  • Grounding Golden Assets: Verify scoring formulas, standings and playoff logic, draft-value calculations, and validation lists across flagship use cases like fantasy draft boards and game scoreboards.
  • Quality Sign-Off & Verification: Review and approve AI-generated outputs to ensure full alignment with professional sports and fantasy industry standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sports analytics, fantasy sports content/tools development, or league commissioning.
  • Deep, hands-on familiarity with diverse scoring systems (PPR vs. standard), draft rankings, player tiers, roster limits, and standings tiebreaker logic.
  • Strong professional writing skills with the ability to translate complex league rules into deterministic spreadsheet formulas and structured parameters.
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills for designing and calibrating fantasy draft boards, scoreboards, and projection models.
  • Personal desktop or laptop with a stable, high-speed internet connection for remote work.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in any field.
  • Experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, or quality assurance is a plus but not required.

Engagement Details

  • Type: Contractor
  • Duration: Up to 10 weeks
  • Hours: 40 hours/week with 8 hours of PST overlap required

Evaluation Process

Shortlisted candidates will receive a Job Interest Form. Finalized candidates will proceed through a delivery interview before final placement.
