SQL & Analytics Engineer Expert | $60–$100/hr | Worldwide Remote | Async & Paid Weekly

AFTERQUERY is looking for seasoned analytics engineers to help build the SQL scenarios that frontier AI labs rely on to evaluate model judgment. If you live and breathe dbt, BigQuery, and Snowflake, this is a high-impact, flexible contract role where your data modeling expertise directly shapes how the next generation of AI is tested.

What You'll Do

• Design and build complex SQL scenarios used to benchmark and test AI model reasoning and judgment
• Work within modern data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift) to develop robust, well-optimized queries
• Apply advanced SQL techniques including window functions, CTEs, complex joins, and query optimization
• Document your data modeling decisions clearly and concisely in written English
• Collaborate asynchronously with a distributed team on meaningful, technically challenging work

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional analytics engineering or SQL-heavy analytics experience
• Expert-level SQL skills across joins, window functions, CTEs, and query optimization
• Hands-on experience with at least one modern data warehouse: BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift
• Strong written English communication for documenting data modeling logic and reasoning
• Ability to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week
