State & Local Government Expert | $45–85/hr | Worldwide Remote

AfterQuery is looking for experienced State and Local Government Experts to help shape the future of civic AI technology. In this flexible, fully remote contractor role, you will design and evaluate real-world governmental scenarios used to train and refine AI models in public administration and policy.

What You'll Do

• Create and refine public policy and governance challenges for AI training modules.
• Design realistic governmental scenarios that test the AI's ability to interpret complex principles of public administration.
• Evaluate model responses to ensure accurate navigation of regulatory frameworks, policy issues, and civic operations.
• Help bridge the gap between effective government practice and innovative AI solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven, hands-on experience working within state or local government with a strong understanding of various governmental functions and policy areas.
• Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
