AFTERQUERY is seeking skilled statisticians and experimentation experts to help build the evaluation scenarios that frontier AI laboratories use to test and benchmark model reasoning capabilities. This is a high-impact, flexible contractor role ideal for quantitative professionals who want to contribute to cutting-edge AI development.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop rigorous statistical scenarios used to evaluate AI model reasoning
• Apply expertise in causal inference, A/B testing, and experimental design to create challenging, meaningful benchmarks
• Collaborate asynchronously with a team of researchers and domain experts
• Analyze and validate experimental frameworks using R or Python

Required Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a closely related quantitative field
• 2+ years of applied statistics or experimentation experience
• Deep expertise in experimental design, causal inference, or A/B testing
• Proficiency in R or Python for statistical analysis
• Ability to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week
