About the Role:
Mercor is hiring Statistics PhDs to join a premier collaboration with one of the world's leading AI labs. You'll use your domain expertise to create challenging problems that push the capabilities of advanced large language models (LLMs). Your work will directly influence the future trajectory of AI innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop challenging statistics problems for AI model testing and training.
Engage directly with prominent AI researchers via a private Slack channel.
Provide detailed, accurate solutions and explanations for created problems.
Ideal Qualifications:
PhD in Statistics from a top university in the US, Europe, or India.
Undergraduate education from an institution based in the US, UK, Canada, Europe, or India.
Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
High attention to detail and analytical rigor.
Role Highlights:
Fully remote, asynchronous work with flexible scheduling.
Commitment: 10–20 hours per week (potential to extend up to 40 hours/week).
Project duration: Minimum of 1–2 months, with opportunities for extension.
