Mercor is partnering with one of the world's leading AI labs to find talented STEM PhDs who want to shape the future of artificial intelligence. In this role, you will apply your domain expertise to create high-quality, challenging problems that will be used to train and refine state-of-the-art large language models.

What You'll Do

• Leverage your subject matter expertise to develop difficult, domain-specific problems
• Contribute to cutting-edge AI research by generating high-quality training data
• Help drive innovation in large language model development

Who You Are

• Hold a STEM PhD from a university in the US, UK, Canada, or Europe — disciplines include Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Statistics, or Economics
• Possess exceptional attention to detail
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
• Have excellent English proficiency

Screening Process

Qualified candidates will complete a short screening interview lasting approximately 20–30 minutes. This is a flexible, remote contractor opportunity ideal for PhD-level experts looking to contribute meaningfully to AI advancement.
