STEM Subject Matter Expert – Remote, Hourly Contract
$40–$90 per hour | 20–40 hrs/week | Ongoing Project
Mercor is partnering with one of the world’s leading AI labs to assemble a team of top-tier STEM experts (BS, MS, and PhD holders) for a cutting-edge project focused on large language models.
About the Role:
As a subject matter expert, you’ll leverage your advanced knowledge in your field to design challenging, high-quality problems that will drive innovation in AI. Your work will directly inform the next generation of large language models and contribute to the evolution of AI technology.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field (Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Mathematics, Economics, etc.)
Degree from a leading university in the US, UK, or Canada
Exceptional attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Passion for advancing AI through rigorous, creative problem design
Position Details:
Hourly contract: $40–$90/hour
20+ hours/week, with potential to increase to 40 hours/week
Minimum project length: 1–2 months, with possible extension
Fully remote and asynchronous—work on your own schedule
Weekly payments via Stripe Connect
