Subject Matter Expert - Humanities at Turing

Subject Matter Expert – Humanities | Contractor | Remote | Up to 40 hrs/week

Turing is looking for accomplished Humanities graduates to help advance AI reasoning capabilities in philosophy, literature, arts, and cultural studies. This is a short-term freelance contract (2 weeks) with a leading AI research accelerator trusted by frontier AI labs and global enterprises.

What You'll Do

• Develop evaluation tasks spanning philosophy, literature, arts, and linguistics.
• Create essay prompts, textual analysis tasks, and high-quality datasets.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for interpretive depth and analytical rigor.
• Identify reasoning errors in AI responses and provide detailed corrections.

Requirements

• Recent graduate in Humanities — Philosophy, Literature, Arts, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Excellent English writing and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with research projects, publications, or teaching assistant roles.
• Familiarity with AI language models is a plus.

Contract Details

• Duration: 2 weeks
• Hours: Up to 40 hours/week
• Time Zone: Some overlap with UTC-8:00 (Pacific Time) may be required — approximately 2–5 hours/day. To be confirmed at onboarding.
