Supply Chain & Logistics Expert | $45–65/hr | Worldwide Remote

Mercor is partnering with leading AI labs on Project Atlas — an initiative to build realistic enterprise environments where frontier AI agents are trained and evaluated. We're looking for seasoned supply chain and logistics professionals from Fortune 500 retailers, manufacturers, 3PLs, and carriers to help recreate the digital workspaces they use every day and design tasks that genuinely challenge state-of-the-art AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Build a realistic digital workspace modeled after your day-to-day environment — including S&OP decks, network-design models, carrier RFPs, inventory reports, DC performance dashboards, and sourcing strategies — with representation of platforms such as Manhattan Associates WMS, Blue Yonder, SAP S/4HANA, and Power BI
• Design multi-step tasks grounded in real supply chain workflows that require navigating multiple apps, files, and stakeholders in ways that meaningfully challenge AI agents
• Collaborate with other supply chain and logistics experts to shape task scope and review scenarios for realism and rigor
• Work asynchronously with research teams to refine task designs and evaluation criteria for supply chain agent benchmarks
• Contribute directly to frontier AI research — your work informs how leading labs train and evaluate the next generation of AI systems

Ideal Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-time experience at a Fortune 500 retailer, manufacturer, 3PL, or large carrier (e.g., Amazon, Walmart, UPS, FedEx, DHL, C.H. Robinson, XPO)
• Background in one or more of the following areas:
  • Demand/supply planning and S&OP/IBP
  • Transportation management, carrier sourcing, or network design
  • Warehouse operations, DC management, or WMS/labor planning
  • Procurement, sourcing, or supplier management
  • Global trade, customs, or international logistics
• Day-to-day proficiency with tools such as Manhattan Associates WMS, Blue Yonder, SAP S/4HANA, Tableau, or Power BI
• Strong analytical thinking and writing skills — able to translate complex supply chain workflows into structured task specifications
• APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD certifications are a plus

Compensation

This engagement begins on an hourly basis at $45–$65/hr, with a planned transition to a throughput-based model compensating experts for the quality and volume of work produced.
