Supply Chain / Logistics Expert (APAC/MEA) | Contractor | 9-Week Engagement | Worldwide Remote
Turing is seeking an experienced Supply Chain & Logistics Expert to contribute to a frontier AI data initiative. In this role, you will design, evaluate, and refine realistic supply chain tasks that help improve the reliability and usefulness of frontier AI agents in digital-corporate environments. This is a short-term contractor engagement requiring at least 4 hours per day (up to 40 hours/week) with 4 hours of overlap with PST.
About Turing
Turing is one of the world's fastest-growing AI companies, accelerating the advancement and deployment of powerful AI systems. Turing partners with leading AI labs to advance frontier model capabilities and builds real-world AI solutions for mission-critical business challenges.
Role Overview
Experts will work within a simulated digital-corporate environment — including access to ERP/WMS/TMS platforms, inventory databases, demand forecasts, freight manifests, and cross-functional communications — to author long-horizon tasks that test AI agents on supply chain planning, logistics execution, and operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and document representative Supply Chain and Logistics workflows suitable for long-horizon AI task development.
- Author realistic task scenarios covering S&OP alignment, inventory planning, demand forecasting, distribution logistics, and carrier optimization.
- Produce expert tasks and gold-standard solutions that meet quality standards, incorporating calibration feedback from senior reviewers.
- Define task context, required data inputs, expected deliverables (e.g., S&OP models, inventory policies, routing plans), and evaluation criteria.
- Prepare reference artifacts, data tables, calculation sheets, and detailed rubrics to grade task accuracy and decision rationale.
- Validate that assigned tasks can be solved using available tools and datasets without relying on unsupported external assumptions.
- Review task implementations and provide actionable feedback on realism and rubric coverage.
Requirements
- 3–8 years of hands-on experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or Demand/Supply Planning.
- Strong background in supply chain planning and analytics, including quantitative metrics, inventory models, and operational data.
- Proven experience producing professional supply chain deliverables such as S&OP decks, demand/supply forecasts, inventory health reports, and freight routing matrices.
- Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain mechanics: inventory control, carrier management, distribution networks, lead-time management, and bottleneck resolution.
- Familiarity with ERP, WMS, TMS, Excel, or Google Sheets for modeling trade-offs and solving logistical challenges.
- Experience writing high-quality prompts, complex operational scenarios, and structured evaluation rubrics for AI training tasks is strongly preferred.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in any field.
- Experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, or quality assurance is preferred but not required.
