Tax Professional at Mercor

Tax Professional | $75–$180/hr | Worldwide Remote

Mercor is partnering with a leading AI research initiative to evaluate the legitimacy of synthetically generated professional financial documentation. We are seeking experienced tax professionals to serve as expert document assessors on a flexible, hourly contract basis. This is a time-sensitive engagement with immediate or near-term start availability preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated accounting and tax documents for accuracy, realism, and professional legitimacy
• Assess whether documentation meets the standards expected from top-tier accounting firms
• Identify inconsistencies, compliance risks, and technical inaccuracies within generated materials
• Provide structured evaluations with clear, well-reasoned written justifications
• Apply professional judgment informed by your industry background and expertise

Ideal Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience at a prestigious accounting or tax firm
• Strong preference for candidates with experience at EY, Deloitte, PwC, or KPMG
• Background in accounting, tax advisory, audit, or related financial services
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to rigorously assess technical documentation
• Prior experience contracting through Mercor is strongly preferred
