Technical Program Manager II | $70–100/hr | Remote (US)

Join a cutting-edge team developing next-generation AR wearable devices. This role focuses on end-to-end ownership of PCB fabrication and flexible circuit development, working closely with electrical engineers and APAC contract manufacturers to bring innovative wearable hardware from concept to production.

About the Role

This position supports a business group driving innovation in flexible and rigid circuit board design for compact AR wearable form factors. You will own design releases, manage builds, and coordinate with global vendors to ensure quality, schedule, and yield targets are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end PCB fabrication processes, including schematics, layouts, form development, and vendor approval for part fabrication.
  • Lead design releases for flexible circuits and multi-layer boards (MLBs) from early design through production.
  • Manage SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and FATP (Final Assembly, Test, and Pack) builds, optimizing for schedule, quality, and yield.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers and cross-functional teams on flexible and rigid circuit board development.
  • Engage directly with APAC contract manufacturers, managing flex vendor relationships and ensuring supplier readiness.
  • Gather feedback, track project schedules, and proactively highlight risks throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Work outside standard hours as needed to support collaboration with APAC vendors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design, PCB development, or related hardware engineering roles.
  • Proven hands-on experience managing APAC contract manufacturers and flex vendor relationships.
  • Direct experience with design releases for flexes and multi-layer boards from early design through production.
  • Experience managing SMT and FATP builds end-to-end, including schedule, quality, and yield optimization.
  • Familiarity with small electrical component integration in compact form factors.
  • Knowledge of advanced PCB fabrication techniques and materials.
  • Experience in wearables or consumer electronics preferred.
  • AR wearable device development experience is a strong plus.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred; relevant experience is prioritized over formal education.

This is a W-2 employment engagement through Cincinnatus, an enterprise staffing company. Benefits, payroll, and compliance are administered by Cincinnatus, while you work directly within the client's team on high-impact initiatives.
