Text Situated Alignment Specialist (BA) | Pay per task | Remote (USA, Canada, Western Europe)

Turing, an AI company working with leading AI labs, is hiring specialists for a short-term human-AI interaction evaluation pilot. The project tests whether providing social context before a user's request helps a language model generate more relevant, personalized, and user-aligned advice. Contributors create realistic social scenarios, interact with the model under different conditions, and evaluate the quality of its responses.

What the work involves

• Create realistic, ongoing social scenarios involving personal, professional, or interpersonal context.
• Interact with the language model under assigned evaluation conditions.
• Evaluate model responses for relevance, usefulness, personalization, clarity, and alignment with the provided context.
• Explain the reasoning behind each rating in clear, detailed written feedback.
• Follow project guidelines and complete assigned tasks within the required timeline.

Who it's for

Professionals with 3–5 years of direct practice eliciting missing context from people discussing everyday problems, such as licensed social workers, counselors, therapists, psychologists, qualitative researchers, HCI or communication specialists, or professionals from mediation, coaching, student services, or organizational consulting.

Candidates should have at least one of the following:

• MSW with LCSW or equivalent social-work license
• MA/MS with LMFT, LPC, LCPC, or equivalent counseling license
• PhD/PsyD in clinical, counseling, social, or industrial-organizational psychology
• MA/PhD in conflict resolution, communication, HCI, anthropology, sociology, or qualitative research
• Relevant professional credential plus at least five years of direct advisory or client-facing experience

Preferred experience

• Eliciting relevant context when clients initially provide incomplete information.
• Working across relationships, work, education, family, planning, wellbeing, and resource constraints (biological, psychological, social, spiritual/existential, financial, and practical factors).
• Qualitative coding or structured case review.
• Distinguishing context that is load-bearing for a recommendation from context that is merely descriptive.
• Reviewing interviews, consultations, coaching sessions, or client interactions to identify missed opportunities for clarification.
