Transcription Specialist (Chinese Language) | Contractor | Worldwide Remote

Turing is seeking a bilingual Transcription Specialist fluent in both English and Chinese to help fine-tune and improve large language models (LLMs). This is a unique opportunity to work at the cutting edge of AI development, shaping how next-generation models think, reason, and communicate — all from a fully remote setting.

About Turing

Turing is one of the world's fastest-growing AI companies, partnering with leading AI labs to advance frontier model capabilities in reasoning, coding, multilinguality, STEM, and more. We also build real-world AI systems that solve mission-critical challenges for global enterprises.

What You'll Do

  • Read, summarize, and break down large volumes of content into logical, structured blocks.
  • Answer analytical questions and create training scenarios that help LLMs improve their reasoning and accuracy.
  • Conduct online research to validate claims and fact-check content.
  • Provide detailed annotations and constructive feedback on model outputs.
  • Collaborate with AI systems to solve logic puzzles and analytical challenges.

Example Tasks

  • Analyzing sales distribution data across locations and time periods to identify growth trends.
  • Solving constraint-based logic puzzles (e.g., neighborhood delivery routing scenarios) and providing correct answers with clear explanations.

Requirements

  • Bilingual: Fluency in both English and Chinese is mandatory.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong research, reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Feedback Skills: Ability to provide thorough, constructive annotations.
  • Creative Thinking: Lateral and creative thinking capabilities.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Independence: Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely without supervision.
  • Availability: Ability to commit to 40 hours per week, overlapping with US business hours.
  • Technical Setup: Reliable desktop or laptop with a strong internet connection.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Literature, Journalism, Communications, Arts, Statistics, or a related field. Candidates without a degree but with relevant experience are welcome to apply.
  • Professional writing experience (e.g., business analyst, research analyst, copywriter, journalist, technical writer, editor, or translator).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Google Suite.
  • Proficiency in data interpretation, logical reasoning, and basic arithmetic.

No specialized domain expertise is required — just strong analytical thinking and a passion for language and AI.
