UK Domestic Tax Specialist | $110–$140/hr | Worldwide Remote | 10–20 hrs/week

Mercor is seeking experienced UK Domestic Tax Specialists to review and enhance AI-generated tax research content. In this role, you will evaluate technical accuracy, validate legal authorities, and refine model answers across a broad range of UK domestic tax topics. This is a short-term, part-time engagement ideal for seasoned UK tax professionals looking for flexible, high-impact work.

Responsibilities

• Review UK domestic tax research questions and model answers for accuracy and completeness.
• Validate tax analyses against current UK legislation, HMRC guidance, and relevant case law.
• Assess and improve grading rubrics for technical rigor and clarity.
• Rewrite or refine model answers where necessary to reflect best practices.
• Ensure all content aligns with the latest UK tax developments and HMRC guidance.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional UK tax experience.
• Holds an ACA, ACCA, CTA, Chartered Accountant, Solicitor, Barrister, or equivalent UK tax qualification.
• Deep expertise in UK domestic taxation.
• Proven ability to interpret UK tax legislation, HMRC guidance, and case law.
• Experience preparing technical tax opinions, memoranda, and compliance documentation.
• Strong written communication and analytical skills.
