Video Captioning & Summarization Expert | $40/hr | Remote (US, UK, Canada)

Mercor is partnering with a leading AI lab to advance cutting-edge AI models through expert video and image analysis. Help AI systems better understand complex visual and narrative information by creating structured annotations of short video clips and images.

Role Overview:

You'll analyze video content and produce detailed annotations capturing subjects, objects, environments, audio cues, temporal dynamics, mood, and storytelling elements. Your work directly contributes to training next-generation AI models in visual understanding.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Experience as a movie producer, film editor, screenwriter, archivist, media analyst, or detail-oriented generalist
• Strong judgment in describing scenes and expressing subtle narrative or emotional cues
• Excellent at following precise instructions and adapting to new requirements
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Project Details:

• Up to 40 hours per week available
• Fully remote and asynchronous work—flexible scheduling
• Minimum 4–5 week project duration with potential extension
• Rolling start dates with onboarding within 1–2 days of application
• Direct collaboration with Mercor project leads

Compensation & Legal:

• Hourly contractor classification with Mercor
• Weekly payment via Stripe Connect
