Turing is seeking a highly analytical and computationally proficient Vision Annotator to contribute to cutting-edge AI research projects. This role is ideal for PhD-level researchers with a strong background in computational mathematics who can craft challenging research-grade problems and devise rigorous computational solutions using Python.

Key Responsibilities

Quantitative Problem Design & Solutioning
  • Develop and conceptualize original, research-grade or graduate-level scientific problems with scientific coding and programming in Python.
  • Rigorously define problem categories, secondary tags, and assign appropriate difficulty levels.
  • Solve formulated problems using sound scientific principles, ensuring absolute accuracy, reliability, and logical coherence throughout the solution path.
Quality Assurance & Collaboration
  • Actively participate in two-tier reviews, meticulously evaluating both the accuracy of problems and solutions.
  • Collaborate effectively with reviewers and team leads, incorporating feedback promptly and refining content to enhance overall quality.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD or current PhD Candidate in Computational Mathematics
  • At least 1 peer-reviewed publication
  • Advanced proficiency in Python for scientific computing (preferred)
  • Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and collaboration

Engagement Details

  • Commitment: Minimum 20 hrs/week (options: 20, 30, or 40 hrs/week); at least 4 hrs/day with 4-hour overlap with PST
  • Type: Contractor/Freelancer (no medical or paid leave benefits)
  • Duration: 3-month contract with potential for extension based on performance
  • Start Date: Expected next week
