About the Role:
Mercor is seeking Visual Annotation Experts to join a major project aimed at benchmarking and improving the performance of next-generation AI models in recognizing visual entities. You’ll help define a comprehensive catalog of real-world entities and build benchmarks for evaluating AI recognition accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and annotate images, movies, or datasets for entity recognition and classification.
Define and refine taxonomies for cataloging visual entities.
Evaluate and judge the usefulness of images and entity conformity to project guidelines.
Document findings clearly and collaborate across multiple rounds of review with Mercor coordinators and client leads.
Ideal Qualifications:
Professional experience in movie production, film editing, screenwriting, archival work, image QA, or object recognition.
Strong analytical skills and an eye for visual detail.
Ability to document observations with clarity for downstream teams.
Comfortable iterating in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Role Highlights:
Start dates are rolling; onboarding is fast (1–2 days after application).
Up to 40 hours per week available.
Fully remote and asynchronous—work according to your schedule.
Minimum project duration: 2–3 weeks, with possibility for extension.
