About the Role:
Mercor is seeking Visual Annotation Experts to join a major project aimed at benchmarking and improving the performance of next-generation AI models in recognizing visual entities. You’ll help define a comprehensive catalog of real-world entities and build benchmarks for evaluating AI recognition accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and annotate images, movies, or datasets for entity recognition and classification.

• Define and refine taxonomies for cataloging visual entities.

• Evaluate and judge the usefulness of images and entity conformity to project guidelines.

• Document findings clearly and collaborate across multiple rounds of review with Mercor coordinators and client leads.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Professional experience in movie production, film editing, screenwriting, archival work, image QA, or object recognition.

• Strong analytical skills and an eye for visual detail.

• Ability to document observations with clarity for downstream teams.

• Comfortable iterating in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Role Highlights:

• Start dates are rolling; onboarding is fast (1–2 days after application).

• Up to 40 hours per week available.

• Fully remote and asynchronous—work according to your schedule.

• Minimum project duration: 2–3 weeks, with possibility for extension.
