Join Mercor in partnership with a leading AI lab to help advance the capabilities of next-generation AI models. As a Visual Annotation Expert, you will analyze short video clips and images, creating structured annotations that capture critical details such as subjects, objects, environments, audio cues, temporal dynamics, mood, and storytelling elements. Your work will directly contribute to improving AI's understanding of complex visual and narrative content.

• Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and annotate video clips and images, identifying key visual and narrative elements.
  • Apply expert judgment to accurately describe scenes, emotions, and story cues.
  • Document findings clearly and follow precise annotation guidelines.
  • Collaborate with project leads and adapt quickly to evolving requirements.
• Ideal Qualifications:
  • Background in film production, editing, screenwriting, archiving, media analysis, or similar fields.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
• Additional Details:
  • Up to 40 hours per week; project expected to last 4–5 weeks with possible extension.
  • Hourly contractor role; paid weekly via Stripe Connect.
  • Applicants must be based in the US, UK, or Canada.
  • Screening includes a short interview and form (30–50 minutes total).
