Role Overview
We are seeking Visual Arts (2-D) Criticism and Instruction Experts with backgrounds in teaching, curation, or art direction. Participants will apply their professional judgment to evaluate digital artworks and provide detailed artistic, contextual, and technical analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze digital artworks and identify artistic intent, composition, and stylistic influences
Evaluate technical execution, originality, and overall artistic success
Distinguish authentic, human-made work from AI-generated imagery through detailed critique
Assess contextual presentation factors such as lighting, cropping, and digitization quality
Provide structured ratings and written feedback capturing both qualitative and quantitative insight
Contribute to a growing dataset that informs research on creativity, authorship, and digital image evaluation
Ideal Qualifications
4+ years of professional experience as a college-level instructor in visual arts, curator, or art director
Demonstrated expertise in two-dimensional media such as illustration, painting, photography, or digital art
Proven ability to critique and grade artwork with depth, precision, and fairness
Strong writing and analytical skills, able to clearly express artistic evaluation
Familiarity with digital media, portfolio presentation, and emerging AI-generated art trends
A professional or personal portfolio that reflects artistic competence and discernment
