Mercor is hiring on behalf of a leading AI research lab seeking a talented Visual Slide Design Expert to craft high-quality, visually compelling presentation materials. This role is ideal for a design professional who excels at transforming complex ideas into polished, executive-level slide decks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and refine professional PowerPoint and Google Slides presentations
• Improve visual hierarchy, layout, typography, and color consistency across all materials
• Convert rough content — including text-heavy slides, outlines, and AI-generated drafts — into clear, engaging visuals
• Apply visual storytelling principles to enhance clarity and audience impact
• Develop reusable templates, slide systems, and design guidelines
• Ensure all presentations meet high aesthetic standards suitable for executives, clients, and investors
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design with brand and communication goals

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in presentation design, visual communication, or a related field
• Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality slide decks or visual presentations
• Expertise in PowerPoint and Google Slides, including layout, typography, color theory, and spacing
• Ability to simplify complex information into clean, digestible visuals
• Strong attention to detail and design consistency
• Comfort working with AI-generated or structured content

Nice to Have

• Experience designing pitch decks, consulting slides, or investor presentations
• Background in graphic design, UI/UX, or branding
• Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Illustrator, or Canva
• Experience working with research, technical, or data-heavy content
