Voice Actor: CX Agent (French) at Mercor

Voice Actor – Standard French | $50–150/hr | Worldwide Remote

Mercor is partnering with a leading AI research lab to develop next-generation text-to-speech (TTS) systems. We are seeking native or native-level French speakers with a neutral, standard French delivery to record high-quality voice samples for training and evaluating advanced speech models. Recordings will be used exclusively for a client's internal CX AI Agent — they will not be sold, licensed, or repurposed.

Important: Your voice may be cloned for use in the client's CX AI Agent. Please only apply if you are comfortable with voice cloning.

Key Responsibilities

• Record high-quality voice samples across diverse script types (conversational, narrative, instructional, etc.)
• Deliver clear, natural, and expressive speech with strong control over tone, pacing, and pronunciation
• Maintain consistency in voice, accent, and delivery across all recording sessions
• Follow detailed recording guidelines covering environment setup, microphone configuration, and file formatting
• Perform multiple takes with variation in emotion, emphasis, and style as required

Requirements

• Native or native-level French speaker with a standard, neutral, accent-free delivery — no strong regional or foreign-language influence
• Proven experience in voice acting, dubbing, narration, podcasting, or broadcasting
• Access to a professional or near-professional recording setup (quality microphone, quiet environment, pop filter)
• Strong command of intonation, diction, and emotional range
• Ability to follow scripts precisely while maintaining natural delivery
• Reliable availability for 5–10 hours per week throughout the project duration

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience recording for TTS systems, audiobooks, IVR platforms, or AI voice datasets
• Familiarity with audio editing tools such as Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Reaper
• Ability to deliver multiple vocal styles including conversational, corporate, energetic, and calm
