Voice Recording Specialist - Caribbean/African at Mercor

Voice Recording Specialist | $25–35/hr | Remote (US/UK/Canada)

We're collecting authentic audio accents for a cutting-edge multi-lingual AI platform. This project involves recording approximately 3 hours of natural phone conversations where you'll spell out names, emails, and phone numbers—similar to speaking with customer support.

How It Works:

• Call a designated demo line and record short sessions (caller side only)
• Deliver natural-sounding conversations with varied tone, pace, and realistic pauses or filler words ("umm," "let's see," etc.)
• Work through different recording environments: quiet settings, muffled voice, speaker-mode, and more
• Include authentic background noise for realism

Requirements:

• Must be physically located in the USA, Canada, or UK (phone numbers are geo-specific; international calling will not be reimbursed)
• Must have an authentic Caribbean or African accent from Africa or Caribbean countries
• Must use real phone calls (VoIP not accepted)

Deliverables:

• Up to 30 phone calls across 6 variations (approximately 180 total calls)
• Record and submit the verification code provided during each call
• Complete call metadata in a shared spreadsheet including: Speaker ID/name, gender, age group, primary language, and geographic ethnicity

Timeline:

Complete 3 hours of conversation recordings by December 28th.
