Wealth & Asset Management Expert at Mercor

Wealth & Asset Management Expert | $70–90/hr | Worldwide Remote

Mercor is partnering with leading AI labs to bring on experienced wealth and asset management professionals who will help improve AI reasoning around portfolio construction, financial planning, and investment strategy. This is a flexible, project-based engagement with potential for ongoing work based on performance and project needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate AI-generated outputs related to portfolio recommendations, financial planning scenarios, investment research, and client communication.
• Create realistic scenarios based on wealth and asset management workflows — including client discovery meetings, investment policy statements, rebalancing decisions, tax-loss harvesting, and estate planning strategies.
• Annotate, label, and validate data across wealth management use cases such as risk profiling, retirement projections, and alternative investment due diligence.
• Provide structured feedback on AI accuracy in areas including fiduciary standards (Reg BI, Investment Advisers Act), tax implications, and suitability requirements.
• Collaborate asynchronously with research teams to refine evaluation frameworks for financial advisory AI systems.

Ideal Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience at an RIA, wirehouse, private bank, asset manager, or family office.
• Background in one or more of the following areas:
  • Financial planning and client advisory
  • Portfolio management and asset allocation
  • Alternative investments (private equity, hedge funds, real assets)
  • Trust and estate planning
  • Institutional asset management or fund operations
• CFA, CFP, CAIA, or Series 65/66 designation is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate advisory workflows into structured evaluation tasks.
• Clear written communication skills and a high attention to detail.
