Are you a web or UI/UX designer eager to help shape how AI understands digital product design? Mercor is hiring experienced Web and Digital Interface Designers to write, review, and validate prompt-based questions for AI training, building the knowledge foundation for tomorrow’s digital experiences.

Role Overview
As a Web and Digital Interface Designer, you’ll craft training materials that reflect best practices in modern user interface and experience design. Your expertise will ensure every prompt is visually thoughtful, accessible, and relevant to real-world web and app workflows.

What You’ll Do

  • Write, review, and validate prompt-based questions on digital interface design topics.

  • Ensure content demonstrates best practices in UI/UX, accessibility, information hierarchy, and responsive design.

  • Translate web and mobile design workflows into clear, structured prompts and responses for AI systems.

Who We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of professional experience in web design, UI/UX, or digital interface development.

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction, web development, or a related field.

  • Strong skills in one or more of the following:

    • Designing web pages, dashboards, or mobile-first interfaces

    • Creating wireframes, prototypes, or user flows

    • Working with design systems, grids, or responsive breakpoints

    • Applying accessibility, usability, or information architecture principles

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.

  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS, design tokens, or frontend frameworks.

Role Highlights

  • Flexible workload: 10–20 hours/week, with potential to increase to 40.

  • Fully remote and asynchronous—work from anywhere, on your schedule.

  • Initial contract: 1–2 months, with possible extension.

  • Start date: Early to mid-July; applications reviewed on a rolling basis.

Interview Process

  • Complete an AI interview discussing your design and UI/UX background.

  • Share your screen to write a prompt and evaluate AI-generated design responses.

  • Selection based on the quality and accuracy of your prompts and evaluations.

Compensation & Legal

  • Hourly contractor; paid weekly via Stripe Connect.
