Mercor is seeking experienced wholesale sales representatives to support a leading AI lab in advancing research and infrastructure for next-generation machine learning systems. This unique engagement focuses on creating and validating real-world wholesale sales scenarios for non-technical and non-scientific products. Contribute your expertise to cutting-edge AI research while working independently and remotely on your own schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Write tasks and scenarios that reflect real-world wholesale sales work for non-technical and non-scientific products based on your professional experience
• Create realistic situations involving client prospecting, product demonstrations, price negotiations, and order processing for general merchandise
• Develop scenarios for building customer relationships, handling objections, managing territories, and meeting sales targets
• Review and evaluate AI responses to wholesale sales queries for accuracy and professional standards
• Provide detailed feedback on business-to-business sales scenarios to improve AI training

Ideal Qualifications

• 4+ years professional experience as a wholesale sales representative selling non-technical and non-scientific products in wholesale trade or manufacturing (14 years preferred)
• Demonstrated professional recognition and management responsibilities
• Proficient with using computers and navigating various software systems
• Excellent written communication with strong grammar and spelling skills
• Pass video interview, background check, training, and qualification quiz

Work Details

• Fully remote and asynchronous — complete work on your own schedule
• Expected workload: 20+ hours per week, with flexibility to scale up to 40 hours
• Project start date: immediately, lasting for around 6 weeks
• Independent contractor engagement through Mercor
• Hourly compensation, paid weekly via Stripe Connect
