AI Research Generalist (Mac M-Series) | $50–60/hr | Remote | Part-Time

Mercor is seeking detail-oriented individuals to support a research project with a leading AI lab. In this role, you will help benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models by creating high-quality research questions, answers, and evaluation materials. This is a flexible, part-time opportunity ideal for postgraduate students or early-career professionals looking to contribute to meaningful AI research.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality research questions, answers, and evaluation materials to train advanced language models
• Conduct thorough online research and synthesize information from diverse sources
• Clearly structure and communicate findings in written form
• Contribute to benchmarking and improving state-of-the-art AI systems

Qualifications

• Required: A MacBook with an Apple Silicon (M-series) chip running macOS 15 or higher (MacBook Pro or MacBook Air)
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree, or 2–3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's from a reputable institution
• Strong online research and written communication skills
• Ability to gather and clearly summarize information from multiple sources
• Background in STEM or non-STEM fields both welcome; interdisciplinary degree is a plus

Role Details

• Part-time commitment of approximately 10–20 hours per week
• Clearly structured responsibilities without the high-pressure environment of internships or full-time consulting
• Immediate start preferred
