Audiobook QA Expert — English (US) | $20–25/hr | Remote (US Preferred)

Join a growing team helping shape the future of AI-narrated audiobooks. As an Audiobook QA Expert, you'll listen critically to AI-generated (text-to-speech) narration in US/North American English, identify where it falls short, and provide structured feedback that directly improves the underlying models. This is a part-time, remote role at approximately 20 hours per week.

What You'll Do

• Listen to AI-narrated audiobooks and evaluate their naturalness, accuracy, and overall listener experience.
• Identify and log speech synthesis errors — including skipped or added words, mispronunciations, incorrect number reading, wrongly expanded abbreviations, unnatural phrasing, and audio artifacts.
• Categorize each issue and mark the precise audio span using dedicated review tooling.
• Provide overall listener satisfaction assessments, noting where narration feels natural and where it disrupts the experience.
• Maintain consistent accuracy and attention to detail across extended listening sessions.

Who We're Looking For

• Native or near-native fluency in US/North American English, with a genuine passion for audiobooks and regular listening habits.
• Strong written communication skills for clear reporting and team collaboration.
• Prior experience in annotation, labeling, transcription, proofreading, linguistics, or similar detail-oriented review work.
• A patient, analytical ear with the discipline to stay focused and accurate over long sessions.
• Reliable availability of approximately 20 hours per week on a part-time basis.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI training data, model evaluation, or audio/QA annotation projects.
• A background in language, editing, voice acting, or audio production.

This is a fully remote, part-time contractor role. Candidates based in regions where English is natively spoken are strongly preferred.
