Audiobook QA Expert — French | $15–20/hr | Remote (France Preferred)

Join a growing team helping shape the future of AI-narrated audiobooks. As a native French speaker and audiobook enthusiast, you'll bring a critical, trained ear to evaluate text-to-speech narration — identifying errors and improving the listening experience for French audiences worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Listen to AI-narrated French audiobooks and assess their naturalness, accuracy, and overall quality.
• Identify and log speech synthesis errors — including mispronunciations, skipped or added words, incorrect number readings, poorly expanded abbreviations, unnatural phrasing, and audio artifacts.
• Categorize issues and mark exact timestamps using dedicated review tooling.
• Provide overall listener satisfaction feedback, highlighting where narration feels natural and where it disrupts the experience.
• Maintain consistent attention to detail across extended listening sessions (~4 hours/day).

Who We're Looking For

• Native or near-native fluency in French (France dialect) with a genuine passion for audiobooks.
• Working proficiency in English sufficient for reporting and team communication.
• Prior experience in annotation, transcription, proofreading, linguistics, or similar detail-oriented work.
• A patient, sharp ear and the discipline to stay accurate over long review sessions.
• Reliable availability of approximately 20 hours per week on a part-time basis.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI training data, model evaluation, or audio/QA annotation projects.
• Background in linguistics, editing, voice acting, or audio production.

This is a remote, part-time contractor role at roughly 20 hours per week. Candidates based in French-speaking regions are strongly preferred.
