Audiobook QA Expert — German | $15–20/hr | Remote (Germany Preferred)

Join a cutting-edge team helping shape the future of AI-narrated audiobooks. We're looking for native German speakers who are passionate about audiobooks and have a sharp, analytical ear to evaluate and improve AI-generated (text-to-speech) narrations in German.

This is a part-time, remote role at approximately 20 hours per week (around 4 hours per day). Candidates based in German-speaking regions are strongly preferred.

What You'll Do

• Listen to AI-narrated German audiobooks and assess their naturalness, accuracy, and overall listening quality.
• Identify and log speech synthesis errors — including skipped or added words, mispronunciations, incorrect number readings, wrongly expanded abbreviations, unnatural phrasing, and audio artifacts.
• Categorize each issue and mark the precise timestamp or span using our internal review tooling.
• Provide overall listener satisfaction assessments, noting where narration feels natural and where it disrupts the experience.
• Maintain consistent accuracy and attention to detail across extended listening sessions.

Who We're Looking For

• Native or near-native fluency in German (Germany dialect) with a genuine, active audiobook listening habit.
• Sufficient working English to communicate clearly with the team — full bilingualism is not required.
• Prior experience in annotation, labeling, transcription, proofreading, linguistics, or similar detail-oriented review work.
• A patient, disciplined ear capable of sustained focus over long audio sessions.
• Reliable availability of approximately 20 hours per week on a part-time basis.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI training data, model evaluation, or audio/QA annotation projects.
• Background in linguistics, editing, voice acting, or audio production.
