Audiobook QA Expert — Italian | $15–20/hr | Remote (Italy Preferred)

Join a growing team helping shape the future of AI-narrated audiobooks. As a native Italian speaker and audiobook enthusiast, you'll bring a critical, trained ear to evaluate text-to-speech narration — identifying errors and improving the listening experience for Italian audiences worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Listen to AI-narrated Italian audiobooks and assess their naturalness, accuracy, and overall quality.
• Identify and log speech errors including mispronunciations, skipped or added words, incorrect number readings, and unnatural intonation.
• Categorize issues and mark exact timestamps using dedicated review tooling.
• Provide feedback on overall listener satisfaction and highlight where narration feels natural or disruptive.
• Maintain consistent attention to detail across extended listening sessions (~20 hrs/week).

Who We're Looking For

• Native or near-native fluency in Italian (Italy dialect/standard), with a genuine passion for audiobooks.
• Working proficiency in English sufficient for reporting and team communication.
• Prior experience in annotation, transcription, proofreading, linguistics, or detail-oriented review work.
• A patient, analytical ear and the discipline to stay accurate over long sessions.
• Reliable availability of approximately 20 hours per week on a part-time basis.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI training data, model evaluation, or audio/QA annotation projects.
• Background in language, editing, voice acting, or audio production.

This is a fully remote, part-time contractor role. Candidates based in Italy or Italian-speaking regions are strongly preferred.
