Biotech Investment Analyst | $125–$200/hr | Remote (US)

Mercor is partnering with a leading biotech and pharma research team to support expert human-evaluation work focused on analyzing commercial drugs and drug-development programs. We are seeking an experienced biotech investment analyst with a specialist-fund background for a paid pilot engagement, with strong potential for ongoing work as the project scales.

What You'll Do

• Develop and critique rubrics used to evaluate commercial drugs and drug-development programs
• Provide comprehensive company and asset assessments covering mechanism of action, clinical data, competitive positioning, and key value drivers
• Evaluate the quality of investment-style theses, identifying weak reasoning, overconfident claims, or missing assumptions
• Apply your analytical framework across a curated set of 5–10 companies during the pilot

What We're Looking For

• US-based biotech or healthcare investment analyst with a specialist-fund background
• Strong familiarity with biotech and pharma drug-development programs
• Demonstrated ability to assess drug assets and the companies behind them end-to-end
• 5+ years of experience evaluating biotech or pharma companies and assets

Engagement Details

• Duration: Approximately 10–20 hours over a 1–2 week pilot
• Format: Fully remote, US-based
• Rate: $125–$200/hr depending on experience
