About the Role
As the Director of Engineering for AI Training, you will co-create the strategy for our AI Training products in collaboration with our Director of Product for AI Training. You'll be at the forefront of adopting the latest technologies and techniques to ensure Invisible remains an industry leader in AI model development. Your role involves recruiting, training, and managing multiple software engineering teams focused on creating new multimodal web interfaces, developing LLM tools for automatic evaluation and quality assurance, and integrating human-generated data with synthetic data.

- Drive Execution: Set clear expectations, prioritize intelligently, and execute reliably. You will define the strategy and roadmap for the AI Training organization, aligning it with Invisible's broader vision.
- Lead with Impact: Provide direction, mentorship, and support. Lead by example in work ethics and behavior, while managing hiring and performance to ensure your teams are composed of top talent.
- Leverage Technical Expertise: Utilize your deep understanding of software engineering to guide architectural decisions and enhance our technical infrastructure. Contribute to process improvements and software methodologies.
- Collaborate Globally: Manage a globally distributed team across various time zones (IST, CET, EST, PST). To facilitate this collaboration, we prefer candidates based in the EST time zone.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 5+ years managing engineering managers in a high-growth environment and 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of AI model training processes, machine learning algorithms, and neural networks. Familiarity with systems that involve human participation in data generation and model training.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent experience.
- Leadership: Strong ability to lead teams, set clear strategies, and drive projects to completion while fostering a culture of excellence.

- Total Target (Base + Bonus): $315,000
