Mercor is partnering with a leading AI lab to hire French-Canadian Voice Actors to help improve AI audio capabilities. This is a flexible, well-compensated contract role ideal for experienced voice talent or those with a strong background in audio-related fields.

About the Role

You will record audio transcripts to help train and refine an AI model's ability to process and produce natural-sounding speech. Attention to detail, clear enunciation, and a professional recording setup are essential.

Compensation & Schedule

• $300 USD per finished hour of submitted audio
• Commit between 2–10 hours per week
• Rolling start — onboarding begins once your contract is signed and ID verification is complete
• A brief kickoff call is required before starting

Requirements

• Native Canadian French speaker, born and raised in Canada
• Proficient English speaker for project communication
• Ability to deliver a neutral-to-upbeat customer service tone with clear enunciation and consistent pacing
• Close attention to punctuation — transcripts must be recorded exactly as written or naturally adapted for pacing
• Professional home studio setup including: professional-grade microphone, soundproofing, audio interface, pop filter, and post-production editing software
• Submissions must be WAV format, 44.1 kHz, mono, with under one second of silence at start/end and no audible breathing

Preferred Background

Professional voice acting experience is strongly preferred but not required. We welcome candidates with experience in music, television, podcasting, Twitch streaming, comedy, YouTube, radio, or similar audio fields.
