Mercor is partnering with a leading legal AI company to evaluate how well AI systems respond to real Australian law questions. We are seeking experienced in-house counsel to serve as expert reviewers, comparing AI-generated legal responses and scoring them against a standardized rubric.

What You'll Do

• Run identical prompts across two AI (LLM) platforms and compare outputs side by side
• Score each AI response against a standardized evaluation rubric provided by the team
• Submit concise, well-reasoned written feedback for every evaluation completed

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as in-house legal counsel practising in Australia
• Strong command of Australian law, with particular expertise in commercial and contract matters
• Sharp attention to detail and precise written English communication skills
• Ability to work independently, adhere to a rubric, and meet deadlines consistently

Logistics

• Initial commitment: Approximately 10 hours, with strong potential for ongoing work
• Confidentiality: All work is covered under a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
• Compensation: USD $100–$120 per hour
