Mercor is partnering with a leading legal AI company to evaluate how well AI systems respond to real Japanese law questions. We are seeking experienced in-house counsel to serve as expert reviewers, comparing AI-generated legal responses and scoring them against a standardized rubric.
What You'll Do
- Run identical prompts across two AI (LLM) platforms and compare outputs side by side
- Score each AI response against a standardized evaluation rubric provided by the client
- Submit concise, well-reasoned written feedback for every evaluation completed
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as in-house legal counsel practicing in Japan
- Strong command of Japanese law, with particular expertise in commercial and contract matters
- Sharp attention to detail and precise written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, adhering to rubric guidelines and deadlines
Logistics
- Initial commitment: approximately 10 hours, with strong potential for ongoing work
- Confidentiality: all work is covered under a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
- Compensation: USD $140–$150 per hour
