We’re looking for accomplished legal professionals to join a long-term research initiative focused on enhancing AI systems for biological research and analysis. You’ll help design and validate a public benchmark that measures advanced AI agent capabilities in complex, biology-driven scenarios.
Benchmark Design & Review: Collaborate with AI scientists to craft and refine test scenarios in M&A, corporate governance, securities, litigation, IP, antitrust, tax, and related areas.
Data Analysis & Insight: Interpret experimental results, spot meaningful patterns, and draw actionable conclusions to guide model improvements.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that prompts and model outputs meet rigorous legal standards for accuracy and clarity.
Documentation: Produce thorough write-ups and reports that track progress, summarize findings, and recommend next steps.
Seasoned Attorney: 2+ years of experience at a top-tier U.S. law firm (e.g., Cravath, Skadden, Latham & Watkins, Sullivan & Cromwell, Kirkland & Ellis).
Elite Academic Background: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a leading U.S. law school.
Subject-Matter Expertise: Deep knowledge in one or more practice areas such as M&A, corporate law, securities, litigation, intellectual property, antitrust, or tax law.
Analytical Thinker: Proven ability to dissect complex information, identify trends, and formulate clear, evidence-based recommendations.
Detail-Oriented Communicator: Exceptional written skills and an unwavering eye for precision.
Flexible Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous—contribute on your own timetable.
Part-Time Commitment: Approximately 20+ hours per week, with the option to adjust as needed.
Low-Pressure Environment: Clear deliverables and milestones, without the hustle of billable-hour tracking.
Project Length: Expected to span several months; no obligation to stay through completion if your availability changes.
Hourly Rate: $100–$150 USD, based on experience (U.S. candidates).
Engagement: Independent contractor arrangement.
