Payer & Market Access Expert | $175–$300/hr | Remote (US)

Mercor is partnering with a biotech and pharma research team to support expert human-evaluation work focused on commercial drugs and drug-development programs. We are seeking an experienced payer and market access professional for a paid pilot engagement, with strong potential for recurring work as the project scales.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned market access expert to contribute to the development of AI-driven drug evaluation tools — bringing real-world payer insight to a cutting-edge research initiative.

Responsibilities

• Create and critique analytical rubrics that assess commercial drugs and drug-development programs
• Set and pressure-test gross-to-net and formulary-tier assumptions across drug classes
• Evaluate whether coverage, rebating, and tiering assumptions accurately reflect real-world payer behavior
• Apply expertise across the pilot's defined set of drugs and therapeutic categories

Requirements

• US-based payer or market access professional with deep knowledge of the US pharmaceutical market
• Familiarity with biotech and pharma drug development programs
• Hands-on experience with gross-to-net calculations, rebate structures, and formulary tiering by drug class
• 5+ years of experience in market access, pricing & reimbursement, or managed markets

Engagement Details

• Duration: Approximately 10–20 hours over a 1–2 week pilot
• Format: Fully remote, US-based
• Rate: $175–$300/hr depending on experience

Strong contributors will be considered for ongoing, recurring engagements as the project expands.
