Private Equity Associate – Infrastructure at Mercor

Private Equity Associate – Infrastructure | $100–120/hr | Remote (US/UK)

Mercor is seeking experienced Private Equity Associates with a background in infrastructure to complete a focused, short-term financial modeling engagement. You will build a financial model from a synthetic deal document pack and peer-review models submitted by two other contractors on the same transaction. This is a high-quality, well-compensated contract lasting approximately 1.5–2 weeks.

What You'll Do

• Build a fully working financial model for an assigned infrastructure transaction using a provided synthetic deal document pack
• Deliver a polished, editable Excel workbook complete with live formulas, source references, and clearly stated assumptions
• Peer-review two anonymized models from other contractors against a defined set of criteria, providing a short written rationale and a completed review scorecard for each

Requirements

• 2–4 years of total experience: approximately 2 years in investment banking (infrastructure, power & utilities, real estate, or TMT M&A), followed by 1–2 years in infrastructure private equity
• Currently or recently an Associate at an infrastructure-focused PE fund or the infrastructure arm of a multi-strategy manager
• Meaningful exposure to digital infrastructure — data centres, fibre networks, or towers
• Demonstrated ability to build financial models from source documents without a pre-built template
• Fluent English (written and verbal)
